Joint Crisis Committees

JCCs function very similarly to Crisis Committees. Like General Crisis Committees, each committee within a JCC has its own Chair, Crisis Director, and Crisis Staffers. However, every committee in a JCC is interconnected, both thematically and practically. Joined by a central issue, the committees in a JCC interact with one another: delegates in each JCC committee can interact with the delegates in other committees. We’re excited to announce EmpireMUNC X’s Joint Crisis Committees:

Heroes of Olympus

In this JCC committee delegates represent the demigods of Camp Half-blood or Camp Jupiter as they deal with the awakening of Gaia and the impending destruction of the earth. Delegates will have to contend with earthquakes and escaping monsters, all while their respective camps’ greatest heroes are halfway around the world on an important quest and internal conflict threatens to tear the camps apart. Worlds will collide as these children of the Greek and Roman gods learn of the existence of one another. Will these two camps of longtime enemies overcome their issues and work together to defeat Gaia or will they destroy each other before the goddess gets the chance?

REpublic of pirates

At the height of the golden age of pirates a coalition of merchants and former privateers comes together to try and stop what they see as a reign of terror carried out on the high seas. The British government supports this venture in the hopes of reclaiming the Bahamas from the burgeoning pirate society that has taken over the former colony. The pirates in the Bahamas are trying to grow and expand their fragile democratic society. Delegates will spend the weekend trying to expand their empires and maybe make a personal fortune in the process. Entangling alliances and the threat of international warfare will constantly be on the horizon as they try to navigate internal political interests and resource scarcity.
