Secretary-General's Welcome

Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, Volunteers, and members of the EmpireMUNC community,

It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the eleventh annual Empire Model United Nations Conference, which will be taking place in November of 2024.

All of us here at EmpireMUNC strive to create the best conference experience possible for both our delegates and our staff. Each year, we are figuring out new ways to improve. Our staffers have been working tirelessly to prepare for this year’s conference and are excited to create a forum of open discussion and debate for the next generation of leaders. From larger General Assemblies to small, fast-paced crisis committees, EmpireMUNC has something available for every kind of delegate. Our committee topics span across geography and time, with offerings for history buffs, policy wonks, and sports fanatics.

NYU’s Model UN team is one of the top ranked on the US Model UN Collegiate Circuit. This means that EmpireMUNC is staffed by some of the most skilled and experienced students available who are excited to offer their time and advice to the high school generation. EmpireMUNC offers the opportunity to learn from some of Model UN’s best debaters in the most dynamic and exciting city in the world. Students will be presented with an exciting and challenging four days of debate, diplomacy, and cooperation. We are all working hard to ensure this weekend will be as academically and socially rewarding as possible. As anyone who has been involved in Model UN before knows, some of the greatest conference take-aways are the people that you meet and relationships that you form.
